Founded over 50 years ago, Hope Children’s Home has an extensive history of serving children in need. Over the course of more than five decades, Hope Children’s Home has welcomed 5,000-plus children to its 55-acre site, which includes living quarters and a school.
Located just outside Tampa, Florida, the campus holds two dormitories that house 80 older children, alongside 4,000 square foot cottages that house younger children. These cottages also enable siblings to live together while enjoying a family-oriented atmosphere, which is enhanced by “house parents” who live with and care for them on a 24/7 basis.
The Hope Christian School is the Home’s affiliated educational facility. It holds accreditation from the state of Florida and offers children a Christian-based education while also providing a well-rounded sports program.
During its history, the nonprofit has received several accolades, including a Tampa Bay Lightning Community Hero award and a four-star rating from Charity Navigator.
